Elementary Level 2

Iris Moeller, Lehrer, Elementary level 2

Hi, my name is Iris. I have been working at the German School of San Francisco in the capacity of a teacher and/or administrator since 1997. I grew up in Hamburg, Germany. There, I received my degree in Psychology from the College of Education. For the last 20 years, I have been working with children of various ages and in different settings, where I have gained many experiences. I have spent six fascinating years with the German school. I am enjoying the academic side of our school, but most of all I love the family-like atmosphere, which makes learning and teaching almost effortless. I feel assured and supported when I see how actively our teaching staff, our board members, the children, and the parents participate in the school. All this makes my job very interesting and enjoyable.

Rebecca Pollitz, TA level 2

Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am an assistant teacher at the German School. I am currently in my last year of high school and plan on attending a state school in the Bay Area after graduating. I have been fortunate enough to been raised bilingual. Part of my family lives in Germany and I also speak German at home on a daily basis. I absolutely love learning languages, and am thrilled to have the opportunity to pass on the spark of possibilities that a foreign language offer. In the past I have taught children ages 3-17 swim lessons, and assisted in tutoring sessions for children attending dual immersion programs. I am excited to provide a lively academic experience to the students of the German School.
