About Us
The German School of San Francisco is a non-profit organization founded in 1935 offering Saturday morning German language classes for children grades K through 8 and for adults of various proficiency levels.
Students are immersed into the language, cultures, and traditions of the German-speaking countries in an intimate and lively study environment.

Faculty
To ensure quality instruction, teachers are selected both for their knowledge of German and for their teaching ability. Instructors are native speakers of the German language and hold teaching credentials.
Board of Directors
The School is administered by a board of directors elected during the annual membership meeting in February. Board members volunteer their time and talents to the school and are responsible for enrollment, fundraising, special event planning and all aspects of the school's operation.
Parent Involvement
Parents are strongly urged to support their children's language studies by attending membership meetings, supporting all school events and getting involved with fundraising activities.
GASANC
The German School of San Francisco is a member of the German American School Association of Northern California (GASANC).
