The German School of San Francisco is located on the second level of Mercy High School, 3250 19th Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94132. Mercy High School is directly aross the street from the Stonestown Shopping Center and near Lake Merced and San Francisco State.

Coming from the south on I-280, take the Highway 1 (19th Ave.) exit (it will be on the left.) After turning left onto 19th Ave, you will cross Winston Drive before making a right into Mercy’s driveway.

If you are coming from the north on Highway 1, you will have no trouble finding the school, since 1 is 19th Ave. However, you will need to go past Mercy, turn right in the Stonestown parking lot, and make a U-turn so that you can approach Mercy in the northbound lane.

If you are coming from the north on I-280, take the “Highway 1 north / 19th Avenue” exit, turn right at the Chevron service station onto Sagamore St. Make a “soft” right onto Brotherhood Way, then take a right onto Highway 1 just before the underpass. Continue north on Highway 1 as above.
Parking Your Car
Parking on the Mercy High School campus is only allowed with a parking permit, and therefore not available to parents and visitors. Please park your car in the back of the campus on Junipero Street or adjacent streets and walk your child/ren through a gate and down the stairs to the school. The children need to be dropped off and picked up in the classroom itself.

From the East Bay, get off at either Embarcadero, Montgomery, or Powell station, exit the station and enter the Muni station. Take the M line and exit at Eucalyptus. Continue south, towards Stonestown Galleria, and we are on the left.

From the South Bay, get off at Balboa Park station, take the 29 Muni bus and get off at Stonestown Galleria. Cross 19th Avenue and walk north and we are on the left.
